Tuttosport: Milan target Lyon, PSG and Paderborn starlets to begin defensive revolution

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s talent scouts have their eyes in France and Germany and have identified three defensive targets, according to a report.

According to what Tuttosport are reporting (via MilanNews) on Friday, the Milan of the future will be composed mainly of young players and for this reason the club are observing a number of different profile.

Among the Rossoneri’s summer objectives is strengthening and rejuvenating the defence, and as a result Lyon defender Pierre Kalulu has ended up in the sights of Milan.

The young Frenchman is on a deal which expires in June and for now he seems intent on not renewing, and he has attracted the attention of chief scout Geoffrey Moncada from his performances in the UEFA Youth League. In addition to the right-back, he can also play left-back and centre-back.

He is not the only potential free transfer opportunity Milan are keeping an eye on though, as PSG’s Tanguy Kouassi is also on the wish list with his deal set to expire in June too. Rangnick knows him very well since he had already suggested him to Leipzig in recent months.

In Germany, Moncada is keen on Paderborn’s Luca Kilian who also plays for Germany’s U21 side. He has a release clause of just €2million and could leave if they get relegated from the top flight.
