Tuttosport: Milan unlikely to risk full-back against Red Star with Inter clash in the viewfinder

By Oliver Fisher -

Despite being back from suspension, Davide Calabria will reportedly sit out Thursday’s Europa League Round of 32 first leg against Red Star.

Calabria was forced to miss the game against Spezia due to the accumulation of too many yellow cards, but it then emerged that he had also suffered a slight knock in the 4-0 Crotone win anyway.

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Calabria could very well sit out against Red Star on Thursday niht in order to make sure he is back for the derby against Inter on Sunday afternoon.

The paper adds that it is far from a serious issue that the 24-year-old is nursing, but the coaching and medical staff would rather have him at 100% – or as close to that as possible – for the weekend’s showpiece fixture.

That means that there could be a chance for Diogo Dalot on the right again, or he could play on the left and Pierre Kalulu could slot in for the Italian.
