AC Milan have been left worried by the news that Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his agent Mino Raiola have once again been in contact with a specialist.
That is according to the newspaper Tuttosport (via MilanLive), which reveals that Raiola called Volker Mushal on Monday, a surgeon who – in May 2017 – operated on Ibrahimovic after the cruciate ligament rupture in his right knee occurred he sustained while with Manchester United.
It was a serious injury that seemed likely to end the player’s career, but instead he recovered and returned to play at good levels after a stint in the MLS. Raiola called him in Pittsburgh and the doctor said yes to a trip in Europe to check Zlatan’s left knee, so the consultation should take place in France or in Monte Carlo and not in Roma, where the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center has its Italian headquarters.
The fact that the surgeon who operated on Ibra four years ago has been summoned could mean that the situation is more delicate than what was suggested by Milan, but we must first wait until the checks are complete.
