Tuttosport: Milan want to beat Spurs to midfielder regardless of €25m Arsenal target’s future

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in the idea of signing Inter midfielder Matias Vecino regardless of whether Franck Kessie leaves, a report claims.

It emerged earlier in the week that Inter are interested in the idea of signing Kessie from their city rivals, with Antonio Conte reportedly an admirer of the Ivorian.

It was suggested by multiple outlets that there is the potential for a swap deal involving Matias Vecino, who continues to be strongly linked with a move to Spurs.

According to the latest from Tuttosport however – as cited by Calciomercato.com – the hypothesis of a Vecino-Kessie exchange between Milan and Inter is complicated at present.

The differing values of the two players in the eyes of their respective clubs is proving to be an obstacle, however the Rossoneri could still make a move regardless of Kessie’s future.

SportMediaset (via MilanNews.it) meanwhile are reporting that Arsenal have made enquiries about signing Kessie and have been quoted a price of €25m, but they also added that Milan would favour a swap for Vecino.
