AC Milan are aiming to resolve the future of full-back Davide Calabria sooner rather than later, according to a report.
If the last few months have told Milan anything, it is probably that allowing the contracts of star players to wind down into the final year is a dangerous game, as the negotiations with Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu are showing.
According to the latest from Tuttosport (via MilanNews), among the Rossoneri players who are on contract which are expiring in 2022 is Davide Calabria, and the club would like to close the question of his contract renewal in a relatively short time.
The full-back currently earns €1.1m net per season, and his demand is for €2m net so a pay rise of almost double, in recognition of the fantastic performances that he has been the author of this season, bouncing back from a difficult 2019-20 campaign full of injuries and inconsistency.
