Tuttosport: Milan will have to meet Kessie’s demands in order to keep him

By Oliver Fisher -

One of the topics that is dominating the media headlines at the moment is the renewal of star midfielder Franck Kessie, a report claims.

Gianluigi Donnarumma has decided to turn his back on the Milan project in favour of earning more money at Paris Saint-Germain while Hakan Calhanoglu has also made the choice to reject the Rossoneri’s contract offer, joining Inter. That means there is now a pressure on the management to renew the precious pieces of the squad whose contracts expire in 2022, such as Kessie and Davide Calabria.

According to the latest from Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Kessie joins Pierre Kalulu as a representative of Milan (for the Ivory Coast) at the Olympics, which will be played in Japan between 22 July and 8 August. During this period, the Rossoneri management and the Ivorian’s agent will try to find an agreement over his renewal.

In all likelihood, the Rossoneri will have to yield to the player’s will in order not to risk losing him for free like the aforementioned duo, because there are several clubs interested in the 24-year-old Ivorian.

  1. They gave Gigio $6m and were ready to give him $8m to stay ,Kessie’s demand is less than both offers for Gigio and they are going to fail to meet his demand? I can’t think far 🙄,I know they will do the right thing
