Tuttosport: Milan’s probable XI for Sampdoria game – Kessie-Bennacer double pivot returns

By Oliver Fisher -

It seems as though we are set to see the double pivot of Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer take the field again after a long absence.

According to this morning’s edition of the newspaper Tuttosport, Milan’s starting XI for the game against Sampdoria on Saturday lunchtime appears to be quite easy to predict. In front of Gianluigi Donnarumma there will be a defence composed of Diogo Dalot, Fikayo Tomori, Simon Kjaer and Theo Hernandez, with Romagnoli and Calabria both injured.

In midfield the double pivot of Kessie and Bennacer will be reunited once again, as the Algerian has returned to near enough top condition after a 60-minute stint with Algeria over the international break.

In the attacking trident behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the choices also seem obvious: Alexis Saelemaekers on the right, Hakan Calhanoglu as the No.10 and Ante Rebic on the left, with the Croatian having obtained a reduction of his suspension.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Dalot, Tomori, Kjaer, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Ibrahimovic.
