AC Milan’s chief scout Geoffrey Moncada has been one of the key figures in helping to build the team that we see today, a report claims.
The Rossoneri have certainly built themselves a strong young core over the last three years with players such as Theo Hernandez, Fikayo Tomori, Ismael Bennacer, Rafael Leao, Alexis Saelemaekers and Brahim Diaz arriving to help form the pillars of a team that is also complimented by experience.
Tuttosport (via MilanNews) talks about Moncada as the ‘007 of Maldini’ and the discoverer of talents. In a way he is a man of mystery given that he is rarely spotted at the stadium and speaks even less about his work, but he is the figure who co-ordinates all the Rossoneri scouting.
The work he does is invaluable to the club, the paper adds, with his recommendations having led to the identification of some of the profiles that today are important pillars of Pioli’s team like the names mentioned above.
