Tuttosport: Optimism filtering from Milan regarding Ibrahimovic’s recovery – the latest

By Isak Möller -

For Zlatan Ibrahimovic, it’s now a race against time. AC Milan are hopeful that he will be back on the pitch quite soon despite the injury, keen on having him for the final games of the season.

As reported by today’s edition of Tuttosport (via Milanlive.it), optimism is filtering from Milanello. The feeling is that next week’s tests could give a positive result and thus facilitate the rest of the recovery process.

If so, Ibrahimovic could return to training as early as late June, playing his first minutes in July. However, it’s certain that he will miss the rest of the Coppa Italia and then five or six league games, which is a blow for Milan.

In order words, the Swede will be in the stands for the league games against Lecce, Rome, Spal, Lazio, Juventus and perhaps even Napoli on the weekend of 11-12 July. The tests will give us a better picture of the situation.
