Tuttosport: Oscar for injuries goes to Milan – six starters have missed 60 games combined

It seems as though no team at the top end of the table has struggled with injury problems quite like AC Milan have.

For today’s trip to face Hellas Verona, Stefano Pioli has an emergency to deal with again. Ibrahimovic, Mandzukic and Calhanoglu are all injured while yesterday it was confirmed that Rebic will also not be fit enough to start the game. Not only that, but Theo Hernandez, Tonali and Hauge will not start, while Bennacer and Daniel Maldini are out, so the injury list is back at 9.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) this morning gives the ‘Oscar’ for injuries to Milan. During the season Pioli has often had to do without one or two starters of his usual XI. However, Bennacer has only played 8 games out of the 25 played in the league, Ibra has missed 12 games and Rebic has missed 11. Kjaer (7) and Romagnoli (6) are behind, while Calhanoglu has started 18 times out of 25 games.
