AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is tempted to drop winger Suso from the starting XI altogether, according to a report.
The Spaniard put in another disappointing performance in Sunday night’s 2-2 draw against Lecce, and fans reacted angrily to his performance after the game with many claiming he should be benched.
There was an argument that Suso was partially at fault for Lecce’s 92nd minute equaliser too, as he was wandering around the half way line when full-back Marco Calderoni netted his screamer.
The hash tag ‘#SusoOut’ even trended on Twitter in Italy, and according to Tuesday’s edition of Tuttosport – as cited by MilanNews.it – Pioli is considering a solution.
The report claims that Pioli is aware Suso is a player of undoubted quality, but has become predictable due to the limited nature of his skill set.
There are alternatives being considered including Ante Rebic (who plays right for the Croatian national team) and Samu Castillejo.
