AC Milan's Croatian forward Ante Rebic (2nd L) and AC Milan's Italian coach Stefano Pioli

Tuttosport: Pioli hoping for positive signs from two forwards in PSV friendly

AC Milan will play their final friendly of the winter tomorrow night as they take on PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands, with Stefano Pioli looking for positive signs from certain players.

According to what is being reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), two players who are expected to demonstrate their qualities are Charles De Ketelaere and Ante Rebic who could well start the game tomorrow night.

The Belgian had a disappointing first part of the season and a World Cup in which he only got on the field for 15 minutes, meaning he now has a great desire for redemption, but it could well be that Yacine Adli gets the nod in the role of attacking midfielder. Brahim Diaz will in all probability be an alternative to Alexis Saelemaekers on the right given Junior Messias is not at 100%.

Given the absences of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Divock Origi who are injured plus Olivier Giroud who will only return tomorrow from his post-World Cup holidays, the centre-forward role against Salernitana could be filled by Rebic, author of a rather fluctuating season so far.

The game tomorrow in Eindhoven will be an important test for the Croatian who appeared rather rusty in the friendlies against Arsenal and Liverpool in Dubai. Tomorrow’s match against PSV will also be an opportunity to see Davide Calabria and Rafael Leao back on the pitch.
