Stefano Pioli has not just brought stability and normality to the AC Milan squad but he is also enhancing certain players, a report claims.
As Tuesday’s edition of Tuttosport notes (via MilanNews), the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made things easier, but the merits of the Emilian coach are evident.
In particular the improvement of individuals, thanks to the work done and the choices made by the coach, has led to the collective growth of Milan.
The change in system has helped bring the best out of certain players like Ante Rebic, while definitive choice to stick with Theo Hernandez at left-back has made him one of the pillars of the ‘new Milan’.
Then there is Ismael Bennacer who is now both the brain and the engine room of the midfield department, while even Samu Castillejo and Hakan Calhanoglu have found consistent minutes.
The growth process has just begun: the coach, in fact, is convinced that this group can do even better and perform at a high level for 90 minutes rather than just the majority of a game.
Essentially, Pioli has done his job as an “enhancer” well and now he hopes to do enough to stay beyond the summer. It will not be easy because the ranking is not the best, but his future has not yet been decided, the report concludes.
