Tuttosport: Pioli to welcome back star duo for Sampdoria game but full-back remains out

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli will welcome back a couple of key players for Wednesday’s trip to Sampdoria, a report claims, but still has injury problems to battle.

The Rossoneri will make the midweek trip to the Marassi looking to continue their excellent run of form since Serie A resumed, a run which has seen them win seven out of 10 games, including the most recent result being a battling 1-1 draw against Atalanta with several starters missing.

According to Tuttosport on Monday (via MilanNews), Pioli will be able to welcome back influential duo Theo Hernandez and Ismael Bennacer, who missed the last match against Atalanta due to suspension.

The Frenchman will be the starter on the left, with Laxalt returning to sit on the bench, while the Algerian will line up next to Franck Kessie in midfield.

However, Pioli will not be able to call upon Andrea Conti, who is still struggling with the knee problem he sustained in the match against Sassuolo.
