Tuttosport: Pioli has two selection doubts to resolve ahead of Lazio clash

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan face a crucial game against Lazio in their battle for the top four and Stefano Pioli is pondering his selection choices, a report claims.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) talks about Milan-Lazio and the probable starting line-ups for tomorrow’s match. Pioli’s decision to rotate heavily against Cremonese backfired again, so he should return to fielding a strong XI.

The paper reports that Mike Maignan will be in goal with Davide Calabria, Fikayo Tomori, Simon Kjaer and Theo Hernandez as the back four, though Malick Thiaw will compete with the Dane.

The midfield trio of Sandro Tonali, Ismael Bennacer and Rade Krunic will be used again after it was so effective in the games against Napoli in the league and in the Champions League.

In attack there is only one doubt with Junior Messias currently the favourite to start over Brahim Diaz, while Rafael Leao should be on the left wing and Olivier Giroud the centre-forward.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan, Calabria, Tomori, Kjaer (Thiaw), Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Krunic; Messias (Brahim Diaz), Bennacer, Leao; Giroud.

    1. No he was not…he was ok as he is putting a lot of effort ,i agree with that…but he was far from being decisive,we need players to produce danger for the opponents not only to run in vain…Messias was more dangerous in half of hour than him
