Tuttosport: Positive news arrives regarding Ibrahimovic’s injury – the latest on his return

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still hoping to be available for the upcoming trip to face Sampdoria in Serie A as he continues his injury recovery, a report claims.

Ibrahimovic limped off in the second half after scoring a brace against Napoli, and the media reported that he is expected to miss two to three weeks, though the striker himself said he thinks he will miss a week or two.

The newspaper Tuttosport (via MilanLive) reports that Ibrahimovic underwent a routine check on Monday and the outcome was positive, as recovery from his thigh muscle problem is progressing according to plan.

The striker’s condition will be further checked in the coming days, with Ibrahimovic awaiting the all clear from the next test before hopefully being called-up for Sampdoria-Milan on Sunday evening.

The Swede is trying to be back for the trip to Genoa, as he has a great desire to return to the field to help the team, but the medical staff will not take any risks and will continue to evaluate.

It is more realistic to imagine his return against Sparta Prague or against Parma, the report concludes.
