Tuttosport: Probable Milan XI to face Inter – Ibrahimovic to start; Pioli welcomes key duo back

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is expected to heavily rotate his starting XI for tomorrow’s cup quarter-final against Inter, a report claims.

According to the updates provided by Tuttosport (via MilanLive), Pioli will still have to do without Ismael Bennacer, Matteo Gabbia and Hakan Calhanoglu – the latter still COVID-positive.

Gianluigi Donnarumma will also not be available as he sent off while he was on the bench in the second round against Torino. Alessio Romagnoli and Alexis Saelemaekers were both absent against Atalanta through suspension and are expected to start in this game.

Diogo Dalot is expected to be the right-back with Kjaer alongside Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez at left-back. Kessie and Tonali will be in midfield with Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz and Leao in behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Mario Mandzukic is eager to play, but the Croatian does not yet have the required fitness to start.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Dalot, Kjaer, Romagnoli, T. Hernandez; Kessie, Tonali; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Leao; Ibrahimovic.
