Tuttosport: Rangnick to accept omnipotent Milan role – what it means for Maldini and Massara

By Oliver Fisher -

Ralf Rangnick’s words on Friday serve as confirmation that he will become the next head coach and sporting director of AC Milan, a report claims.

In an interview with BILD (via Calciomercato.com), he confirmed that there have been contacts with the Rossoneri.

“If I can exclude that I will be at Milan? What can be excluded in football? I can’t exclude it completely. Milan asked me for my availability so I informed Red Bull and there were talks with my agent. Then came the coronavirus and more important issues arose,” he stated.

According to Saturday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Rangnick loves challenges and is ready to accept another by starting a new adventure with Milan.

The paper believes that Rangnick, in fact, will be head coach and at the same time responsible for the club’s sporting area, meaning that technical director Paolo Maldini is set to leave.

The Rossoneri will have a sporting director, but he will be chosen by the new head coach, but Ricky Massara could remain or head scout Geoffrey Moncada could be promoted to fill that position.
