Tuttosport: Rangnick’s arrival at Milan all but confirmed – decisive meeting imminent

By Oliver Fisher -

The signatures are still missing, but the choice has been made: Milan will have a new manager next season in Ralf Rangnick.

According to the paper edition of Tuttosport on Tuesday (via MilanLive), CEO Ivan Gazidis has been negotiating personally with Rangnick and while the parties have yet to meet to define the final details, the situation is now outlined.

The German will arrive at Milan and take up a role unprecedented in Italian football with the dual role of becoming head coach and the man in charge of recruitment.

Rangnick intends to bring a number of young players to Milan, but with a very high potential, and attempt yet another revolution. Elliott Management Corporation have also made the choice to get behind the 61-year-old and it will likely meant he end for current technical director Paolo Maldini too.

The meeting between Rangnick and Gordon Singer is expected to happen when travel restrictions into the UK are lifted slightly.
