Tuttosport: Real Madrid’s loss becomes Milan’s gain – now the full-back is worth €70m+

By Oliver Fisher -

One of the best investments that Milan have made in recent years has been the signing of Theo Hernandez from Real Madrid.

As Tuttosport reports (via PianetaMilan), Paolo Maldini flew to Ibiza to meet the player and convince him to wear the Milan shirt, and since then the Frenchman has never looked back.

The Rossoneri paid almost €25million to land him, but now his value has tripled within 18 months and he is now worth close to €70m. Los Blancos let him go to focus on Ferland Mendy, who they paid €48m for, but so far he has 18 appearances with no goals or assists.

Theo’s last two goals meanwhile, against Parma and Lazio, both scored in added time, earned Milan a draw and a victory. Theo Hernández can now compete with the strongest left-backs in the world, such as Andrew Robertson (Liverpool) and Jordi Alba (Barcelona).

Theo Hernández will miss Benevento-Milan due to suspension but he will then return to the field on 6 January 2021 for Milan-Juventus, another big game at the top of the table.
