A return to the Bundesliga could well be on the cards for Ante Rebic and AC Milan could get a player in return, according to a report.
According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via SempreMilan.it), Wolfsburg are hoping to sign Rebic during the summer transfer window with the Croatian forward held in high esteem by Niko Kovac, his compatriot who is the coach of the German club.
However, the Milan-Wolfsburg axis does not only concern Rebic, because Aster Vranckx is on loan at Milan and therefore there will be talks between the two clubs over the future of the Belgian U21 captain despite the fact he has not played much this season.
The Rossoneri are unlikely to pay out the €12m requested by Die Wölfe which would be needed to make his loan deal a permanent one, but Rebic could act as a more than valid bargaining chip to bring the asking price down.
