AC Milan are set to be able to confirm the return of Brahim Diaz on a loan with option to buy deal, according to a report.
The 21-year-old Spanish playmaker had some initial difficulties in adapting to Serie A, but then his performances grew with the passage of time and he became among the protagonists of the late-season surge that secured Champions League qualification. Speculation has since been rife that Milan will bring him back to the club on a renewed loan deal.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that Brahim Diaz’s return should be announced this week. The paper adds that the Spaniard will arrive on a paid loan of €3m with an option to buy set at €19m.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, have guaranteed the possibility of buying the player back for €27m, an option that can only be exercised in the summer transfer window in 2022.
Not a bad deal, either Milan get the player for the future or they will make some money while getting a great backup/rotation option.
