Tuttosport: Tonali wants to show off his development in front of his idol Gattuso

By Oliver Fisher -

There will be an interesting sub-plot in Milan’s game against Napoli on Sunday night as Sandro Tonali will face off against his idol Gennaro Gattuso’s team.

As Tuttosport writes today (via MilanLive), Tonali wants to show what he can do in front of the idol who inspired him, however he will likely have to do so from off the bench.

That is because Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer are the immovable starting midfielders, and it will likely be that way for the game at the San Paolo.

Tonali hopes to find playing time during the game, as has happened several times this season, but a lot will depend on the progress of the match and the performances of the aforementioned African duo.

Tonali wants to play more, but it all depends on him and on the progress he shows in the short term. Milan meanwhile hope that he will return to embarking on the path of growth in personality, just as his idol Gattuso did.
