One way of making sure Milan are in the group stage draw for next season’s Champions League is to win the current one, but that seems like a mountain to climb after the first leg defeat against Inter and the fact either Manchester City or Real Madrid would await in the final.
The other way is to seal a top four spot in the league. For a club with Milan’s ambitions, qualifying for the Champions League is absolutely vital, especially to give some consistency from an economic point of view with the revenues the competition guarantees.
