Junior Messias (AC Milan)

Tuttosport: Torino aim to secure Milan outcast Messias for less than €5m

Torino are very interested in signing Junior Messias this summer and AC Milan are more than willing to let him go. The negotiations could soon enter an advanced stage, as Ivan Juric has given the go-ahead for the transfer.

Juric is the manager of Torino and he has tried to bring in the Brazilian winger before, more specifically prior to his move to Milan. It will thus be up to the management of Il Toro to reach an agreement with the Rossoneri.

As reported by today’s edition of Tuttosport (see below), between the amortisation and his age, Messias has a price tag of €3-4m. Milan have already brought in Christian Pulisic and are also working on another right-winger, meaning they likely will accept such an offer.

Messias scored six goals and got two assists for Milan this past season but it was also clear that he’s not good enough for the Rossoneri. Stefano Pioli wants consistent performers and the Brazilian is not when the going gets tough.

  1. If he really leave then good for us and for him. But he already done good for Milan, 12 goals and 5 assists across 2 seasons. For the amount of money we paid and the low wages he is worth every penny.

    1. Exactly this, he’s been a part of the team in a renaissance period and has a great, very interesting story too.

If Torino get him for 5m, that’s fair to Milan but they will also get a good player that I’ll cheer on from afar.

  2. Yes but logic is with Pulisic we have upgraded first team and Saelemaekers is still good and more valuable as back up.

      1. Still there is at least 30 till 50 million room for new signings. We will see what they will bring. Maybe good quality right winger, maybe much stronger striker… we don’t know.

And there is a room for selling I hope Origi Rebic Messias Caldara Ballo Toure all will be sold for some fee..

        1. Way more than that and that’s without sales, I’m estimating about 64M left which with sales of players like CDK and Origi, Rebic, Saele, Messias, etc can easily reach 100M

  3. He scored and assisted more than I thought when he first came and has quite a life story of humble beginnings. But Torino might be a better fit for him. He will get more regular playing time.

I’d thank him for his effort and goals and say good luck.

  4. Huge fan of his talent and story, I even bought the jersey in which he scored against Atletico.
Good luck to him and all the best!

  5. STEP 2: OFFLOADING.
Did well so far with signings, now let’s see them offload dead weight better than Maldini. 🙂

  6. The new owner doesn’t have time for bench warmers, so, a lot of players would leave. I see Pobega going out on loan. The difficult decision would be who to sign between Chukwueze and Taremi. We can’t have both because of the EU slot left. If they go all out for Chukwueze, then, they have made a big statement. Taremi would be good for the team, considering his goal record. However, we cannot have both.

    1. Perhaps we shouldn’t have signed Loftus-Cheek. Don’t get me wrong. I liked the other transfers so far, but I have a feeling that was a mistake.
