Torino have not yet given up in their hopes of signing Tommaso Pobega from AC Milan before the end of the transfer window, a report claims.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Torino’s sporting director Davide Vagnati called his Milan counterpart Ricky Massara to ask for Pobega back on loan, reminding him that the 23-year-old would get another season of ample playing time under Ivan Juric to grow even more.
Milan will think about it and will give an answer in the coming days, most likely dependant on their pursuit of signing another central midfielder (Jean Onana the leading name) and what will happen with Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Torino are willing to offer a loan deal with an obligation to buy inserted as part of that, but crucially a buy-back in favour of the Rossoneri. The player’s current market valuation is somewhere between €12-15m as per the Turin-based newspaper, with developments expected soon.
Just keep him and don’t buy another unproven player. Keep it within the club. A home grown guy is something we can build around. Not some throwaway cheap player like we bought last year in Ballo-Touré. Onana feels like the same deal.
for me it was clear that the baka deal soon became a fiasko. He did so bad in Napoli….M&M still are of the opinion that they are more smart then others. LOL
Keep popega and let him play WTF. Main target RW – failed for 300%? Try Diaz on RW?? and sell Saladmaker, or let him play RB
We’re still outnumbered in the midfield, so he must stay.
I don’t think he’ll grow more with teams like Torino.
He needs playing time on the highest levels in order to get a new level.
For Torino it should be started with 50m
Get the 15 million and run.
Sell him for good.
There isn’t much more in him than a rotational player, 4th or 5th option.
He doesn’t even fit Milan system. He can’t play in double pivot because he is too slow , to stiff. Better suited for 3men midfield, but even then his ceiling is very low.
Cash in while you can
I have to agree. In Torino he looked fine, but that means literally nothing. From what we’ve seen in preseason and against Udinese, he is a donkey. Very slow and poor movement and anticipation on top of that. He may yet grow, but I doubt it. We need quality, not another Yoko.
Anh chàng này tài năng và có nội lực… nhưng cần phát huy hết khả năng và sự quyết tâm thể hiện qua hành động sẽ thành công. Good luck.
Where are the “Pobega is better than Kessie” fanboys because he “bossed” him that one game last season? They’ve been quite quiet 😂😂😂
By bossed I mean won two balls off of him 😂😂😂 and ignore the other 85+minutes
(PS, to be fair, and I said this in pre-season, that Pobega needed to apply himself more as he was grossly unfit and slow. And hasn’t shown the speed he had at Torino)
