Tuttosport: White smoke regarding Calhanoglu’s renewal seems very close – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have raised their offer to Hakan Calhanoglu in the hopes of bridging the gap between supply and demand, according to a report.

The attacking midfielder was forced to watch from the stands last night as his team-mates were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by Udinese, one that was only earned thanks to a last-minute penalty from Franck Kessie.

The headline surrounding the Turk are mostly to do with his renewal situation, considering that his current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, but he was at Casa Milan on Tuesday to meet the management which has sprung rumours that he is closer to signing than expected.

According to Tuttosport (via MN24), there have been steps forward for the renewal of Calhanoglu. On Tuesday the management welcomed the 27-year-old to Casa Milan to discuss the contract.

The Rossoneri have submitted an offer for €4m net per season plus bonus, thus further approaching the €5m requested by the former Leverkusen star and his agent, and the proverbial white smoke seems ‘very close’.
