Tuttosport: Winger’s sale to Wolves could see Juventus launch move for €70m Milan target

Juventus could be positioned to launch a late assault for Fiorentina star Federico Chiesa if they first sell a winger, a report claims.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanLive) on Wednesday, Chiesa is the dream of Milan and its fans. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have thought about it, but the negotiation is very complicated.

Fiorentina are the main obstacle as their president Rocco Commisso has set an asking price of €70m, a figure which is impossible for Milan who wanted to try and agree a loan with option to buy like the Sandro Tonali deal.

Attention must be paid to Juventus, who are in talks with Wolves over the sale of Douglas Costa. Chiesa has always been open to joining the Bianconeri in order to compete for titles and better his career.

The paper adds that Commisso is no longer convinced about keeping Chiesa at Fiorentina, and the reason is very simple: the contract is due to expire in 2022 and the risk of losing him for a cut price or even for free is very real. This is why the Viola president could open up to the sale and Juventus is thinking about it.
