Rafael Leao will have a big chance to show what he can do during Sunday’s game against Genoa, according to a report.
After Ibrahimovic’s red card against Parma and a one-game ban that has followed, discussions are underway as to who should be chosen by Stefano Pioli as a replacement for the Swede against Genoa.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Leao is the most logical choice as the Portuguese forward scored for the first time since 9 January during the win over Parma, while Mario Mandzukic does not yet have 90 minutes in his legs. It will therefore be up to Leao who will face a new maturity test against te Rossoblu.
Against Parma, the former Lille man finally rediscovered his scoring touch albeit on the break in the final few seconds. If he can keep it up then it will be excellent news for Pioli who also needs Leao’s goals to reach the target of a top four finish.
