AC Milan are looking for a new sporting director and with him they will choose the head coach that will take over from Sergio Conceicao. The papers this morning claim one name is on the rise.
As reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews24), a different name has emerged in the list coaches that Milan is following in view of next season as possible successors to Conceicao and it is Vincenzo Italiano, currently at Bologna.

The former Fiorentina boss is liked for two reasons. Firstly, his ability to make the most of all the resources available, and secondly his desire to play innovative and effective football which is aesthetically pleasing.
Italiano chose to leave Fiorentina at the end of last season to replace Thiago Motta at Bologna, seeing the chance to coach in the Champions League as being too good to turn down despite his ties to La Viola.
It hasn’t all been smooth sailing, though. The Rossoblu were in the bottom three after three games and eighth at the midway point of the season. After a run of five wins in six, though, they are up in fourth.
Their most recent result was a statement 5-0 victory over top-four rivals Lazio, a game that showed exactly what Italiano has been building towards throughout the season. The idea of a renewal offer from Bologna has been mentioned recently as a result.
However, a final decision one way or the other will be made only after the appointment of a new sporting director, given the influence they will have on the future course.

Milan should give more time for concesao he will adapt Serie A next season . Italiano is nice coach and adapt seria A but not best we can judge him in the champions league result . If Milan give more time for concesao he will change milan result . I don’t accept Allegri or conte if not concesao continued Dezerbi is my choice
Sergio probably lost half of the lockeroom. He did it to himself, saying he’s not here to make friends after winning Supercoppa and then clashing with team captain in front if whole world after a win. You just don’t do that.

What makes anyone at Milan think he would even want to come? As things stand, Bologna is going to play in the Champions League next season and Milan is not.
Exactly. Same for Farioli at Ajax, De Zerbi at Marseilles, and most likely Conte and Napoli.
I hope to God Milan sign Giovanni Sartori as Sporting Director and Italiano as our new coach.
This would be the perfect combination for years to come. But if they go with Paratici then Redbird might as well sell the club because it will be downhill from there.
Madness. What has he achieved in his coaching career? We can’t afford to experiment anymore. We need a coach with vast experience especially in Europe.

Anyone can be top 4 this season since bigger clubs are out of form and struggling milan, juventus, roma, Lazio, even inter Napoli and Atlanta too so doesn’t make sense this season like this season it’s about luck

Italiano isn’t ready for a top club yet. He needs a jump to the likes of Roma or Lazio before a bigger club role.
Just look at Motta – Bologna to Juve was clearly a jump too big for him.
Is Fiorentina not in the Roma/Lazio category?Bologna are currently above them in the standings, BTW, and that after having lost Calafiori and Zirkzee, two fundamental players from last season. Just like players, we’re not going to attract “top” coaches at the top of their game, because we’re not shelling out millions in salary or transfer funds. So we either gamble on up and coming coaches, or mediocre ones who might do something with a higher quality squad than their used to. Italiano is still young enough to be in that first bucket, but having plenty of experience in Serie A and a good amount in Europe, including two finals. How many European finals did Pioli have? Is the Italiano idea blowing me away? No, but it’s A LOT better than Lopetegui/Fonseca, and so far looking better than Conceicao.
Fiorentina is a mid table team. Bologna is far superior than them. They lost UEL finals come on now.
If we want to play CL we need experienced coach , if you like it or don’t, just Alegri or Sarri, no other name are valid . Manchini don’t play club football long time, Sachhi say he want train again, but he will be too old for something big and on the other hands , De Zerbi and Italiano don’t have experience to play big matches.. so we don’t has many options, just those two
Milan need owner like Berlusconi with Galliani, they are running this club with heart not only for business.

I think what interests in him is his salary. He’d be cheap and we all know how much our management loves cheap options.
