Soualiho Meite became Milan’s first signing of the transfer window as the Rossoneri published an official statement last night. The midfielder, arriving on an initial loan deal from Torino, could be of good use.
The Frenchman is expected to be called up for Milan’s game against Cagliari on Monday and he might get a few minutes on the pitch. Given the injuries, his arrival will help ease some pressure off Milan in what is a tough period.
Speaking to MilanTV (see video below), Meite expressed his thoughts on joining the club and his objectives at the club. It seems he will be a good fit for the midfield tandem in Stefano Pioli’s system.
“I’m a player that likes being in possession, so I’m more technical and I love beautiful play. And I like crossing, I can play with both feet so I really like the little plays like that.
“My objective is to play at the team’s level and do as well as possible in the league and in Europe. I’m happy to be at Milan, which as I said is a great club with a great history,” he stated.
