Vranckx responds to idea of replacing Kessie and making his loan move permanent

By Oliver Fisher -

Aster Vranckx feels ready to prove to the AC Milan fans and management that they were right to bet on him and that he should be signed permanently too.

Today is the day of Vranckx’s official presentation as a Milan player and while speaking to the media he revealed his feelings after sealing the move as well as some background and information on his playing style.

One of the questions he was asked related to a player that he in theory replaced numerically in Franck Kessie, who joined Barcelona on a free transfer, and he responded to the idea of taking on the Ivorian’s legacy.

“I think I came here with the desire, the determination and the desire to show what I can do. I’m always positive, I’m ready,” he said (via MilanNews).

Vranckx arrived towards the end of the summer window from Wolfsburg on a paid loan with an option to buy which is set at €12m according to all major sources. That means he will need to prove between now and the end of the season that he deserved a permanent move, something he is ready to do.

“I think about working hard every day in training, when I have the opportunity to play I will try to make the most of it.”
