Watch: Bennacer’s knee recovery continues – when he should be back

Ismael Bennacer injured his knee in the first UCL clash against Inter last season and was forced to undergo surgery. The midfielder has been making great strides lately in his recovery, as seen in a video.

Bennacer underwent surgery due to a cartilage lesion back in May and the intervention was successful. Milan are expecting to have the Algerian international back at their disposal towards the end of the year, at the earliest in mid-November.

It’s likely that he will return in December instead, though, and perhaps make an appearance before the end of the year. On his Instagram story, as you can see below, Bennacer published a video of his recovery.

  1. That’s certainly a long time. And likely he won’t fully be playing until December at least. Definitely stresses the need why we need another midfielder.

  2. Milan has Reijnders, RLC, Pobega, Musah (who was in oldet SempreMilan articles described as the Kessié replacement)
    So 4 midfielders

If Milan decides that Krunić won’t leave then it’s 5 midfielders
(and I did not count Adli who will probably leave or Pulisić as an AM)

So I really believe that 4-5 midfielders are enough. There are teams that have not the luxury of such an amount of players

Even more when Bennacer will be back in January as the 6th midfielder.

Now it’s time for Pioli to show if he can implement some game-style into this team. He has everything he needs
