Rade Krunic was given the nod ahead of Brahim Diaz for AC Milan’s clash against Hellas Verona last night and he didn’t disappoint. In fact, some are suggesting that he should start against Atalanta as well.
The Rossoneri have struggled to find the right No.10 this season, mainly because Diaz gas failed to live up to the expectations. Last night, Krunic got the nod and he did well during the 67 minutes he was on the pitch.
In our player ratings, he was given a 7/10 with the following motivation: “His smartness is clearly why Pioli wants to keep him in this team. Unlike a player like Diaz, the Bosnian is very comfortable with keeping the ball without seeking a dribble or trying to do something spectacular. And most of the time, that is positive as he often picks the right pass thanks to his cool head”.
Down below, courtesy of CompsACM, you can take a look at the highlights of Krunic’s performance against Verona.

Finally more people appreciate him..
He’s the mean tactics that beat Verona
i watch the video very well and observed it the present of krunic in mindf Temezi don’t have chance to play Temezi it the key Man for Verona in
Milan has too many supporters that only judge players by individual flashes. How many have been mocking ‘Lord Krunic’ for a long time? They don’t know what intelligent polyvalent players like Krunic mean for a team. He doesn’t have the individual actions like some players but he deserves tons of respect for his hard work. I hope he can help Milan get it accross the line in the title race.
Guy us a workhorse. You give him a task, any task on the field and just let him at it. It’s not gonna be flashy, jaws are not gonna drop, reporters are not gonna write articles about his achievements, but he will get the job done. And honestly, 99% of the time, that is all that matters. He will never, ever be a superstar, but god damn it, of he isn’t exactly what we need right now. Someone that will get the job done.
I know Pioli loves him and I can see why. He is always ready to step up, he doesn’t mind sitting on the bench waiting for his opportunity, he will take on any role given to him. I’m willing to bet he would put on the gloves and go in a s GK if asked and he would do a decent job at that too. I also know he will never be appreciated by the press and the fanbase as much as he deserves. But every team needs one Rade and I really hope he stays in Milan for a long long time.
Yeah he will never get attention from media and become star player but he is hard worker and don’t mind to be reserved also versatile. We need that kind of player. I don’t understand why half AC Milan fans mocking and bully him
Krunic is an “almost good player”. Almost score from open play with his feet and his head, almost assist, and almost playmaking. He is lucky got the trust from Pioli. May be Pioli sees his potential. But I think he will be a “good mezzala”. Unfortunately, Pioli doesn’t use this position in his formation occasionally.
Much better than brahim diaz
keep this man! He wears his heart on his sleeve! I used to be one of his biggest critiques….I still dont rate him very highly as a player though he has improved on his game awareness and passing a lot…if he can improve upon his shooting he’d be a greater asset to us but the best thing about him is that he gives his all for the team.
Since away game in old Trafford were he was best player on the pitch, Ian proud to have that team player
Very versatile players who works really hard and without drama but his contributions rarely appreciates by the majority of Milan fans which is sad.
Just look at how many Milan fans who still praise and defend Dollaruma but mocked Krunic despite it’s obvious which one who loves and gave 120% for Milan.
Rade against inter was impressive, neutralising besovic. The guy is doing the dirty job in the middle whenever he’s called upon. He has to stay. For those critics please leave krunic alone.
Totally agree that he is underrated and underappreciated. The media (Matteo Bonetti in particular on the CBS/Paramount+ telecasts in the US) (and frankly, many of you too!) always just talk about him as only “hard working”; but he is also very good on the ball and actually has done a few “flashy” things from time to time like little flick passes w/ his feet or smart header passes. He is calm and cool on the ball unlike Diaz who goes crazy, might look good with one fancy dribble; but then immediately makes a TERRIBLE pass and loses the ball or misses someone who is very open for a very good goal scoring chance.
PLEASE start him again versus Atalanta for sure at the CAM spot Pioli!
