Watch: Maldini presents Tomori with gift after hitting 100 appearances for Milan

With his start against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday, Fikayo Tomori officially racked up 100 appearances for AC Milan across all competitions.

The centre-back arrived on an initial six-month loan deal during the winter transfer window of the 2020-21 season, and that became a permanent move the following summer given just how impressive the Englishman was.

He is now one of the first names on the team sheet and has arguably revolutionised the way Pioli’s defensive line plays, and he racked up 100 games for the club at the weekend so he got a gift from the club.

Paolo Maldini handed him the medal, stating: “Guys we are here to celebrate the fact that Fikayo has reached 100 appearances for AC Milan. We’re very happy, as I always say this is the first of many big milestones you can achieve in the Rossoneri shirt. Well done, Fik!”

Tomori said a few words too: “Thank you, everyone. Thank you. I’d like to thank everyone for this achievement of 100 appearances for Milan. Thank you to all of you. Let’s finish the season in the right way.”
