Watch: Messias sends message to Milan fans amid new contract – “I can do a lot more”

By Isak Möller -

Junior Messias has signed a new contract with AC Milan as the latter decided to redeem him from Crotone. The Brazilian has now made a promise to the Rossoneri fans, following what was an average season.

The 30-year-old arrived on an initial loan deal last summer and although Milan didn’t exercise the buy-out clause, they negotiated with Crotone and were able to reach an agreement. Messias, therefore, signed a two-year contract yesterday.

Speaking to the club’s official channel, as you can see in full in the video below, Messias sent a message to the fans.

“I feel at home here. I work my hardest for the team, I try to give my all. I can do a lot more, I have to do a lot more,” he stated.

    1. Ungrateful and unreasonable fan…

This guy performed under immense weight and pressure as a nobody joining one of the most prestigious clubs in football.

He’s gonna play with much freedom and certainty from this season. He is a late bloomer and I believe he will give us great moments beyond our expectations coming season…

Anyways, I still love Milan and all rossoneri fans regardless of your views and opinions….

      Much respect.

    2. 1. He came cheaply as a last resort.
      2. He’s a professional player only for few years despite being 30.
      3. He just finished his FIRST year in a big club, without ever playing in even a mid-table club.
      4. Still, he scored 1 goal every 5 matches.
      5. Again, he’s cheap.

Being not satisfied and demanding is fine, but stop being unreasonable.

    3. Messias definitely more useful than you. He scored 6 goals & 3 assists which all of them are important for Milan while you scored 0 goals and 0 assist + don’t have a job.

  1. Scenes when Messias exceeds his performs of last season.

I have so much fate in him. He scores, defends, assists and works for the team.

    Minimum of 10goals this season.

  2. agree he was cheap and we didn’t have big expectations.

He was inconsistent and usually lacked finishing quality more than he provided it and he really only had the one move where he cut inside from right toward middle to try to get a shot off with his left foot.

I do like his effort; but Rebic would’ve been a better option at RW than he was for many matches. Anyway, as a backup, he is fine. And of course, what a great and amazing backstory that he was a refrigerator delivery many just a few years ago.
