Devis Vasquez completed his loan move to Sheffield Wednesday just four days ago and he has already had an impact. In a penalty shoot-out last night, the AC Milan loanee saved two penalties.
Vasquez was signed by Milan in January this year but he never got any playing time with the first team, making two appearances with the Primavera side. Therefore, the Rossoneri agreed to send him out on a season-long loan to Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.
He made his debut for the team yesterday and it was certainly a successful one. Facing Stockport in the Carabao Cup, Sheffield Wednesday prevailed on penalties to proceed and have Vasquez to thank for it, as the Colombian made two penalty saves (see below).

Looks like he should have come straight in for Tata 🙂
One of many decisions that Pioli made and is still making that still baffles me.
That first penalty is very impressive. He is obviously good at sussing out a players intentions.
