Massimiliano Allegri has reportedly made it very clear what his intentions for Alexis Saelemaekers are, while speaking to some Roma fans.
Saelemaekers had a brilliant second half of the season under Claudio Ranieri, becoming one of the best wing-backs in the league, racking up 14 goal contributions (seven goals, seven assists) in that time.

Roma wanted to sign him permanently and began discussions – just as they had in the winter – yet talks ended abruptly earlier in the month. The Belgian could stay with Milan next season, with Allegri taking an interest in him and keen to make assessments during pre-season.
Allegri responds to Romanisti
According to what has been revealed by Il Messaggero (via MilanPress), the new Milan coach expressed his desire to coach the Belgian next season to some Roma fans during his last vacation in Sardinia.
He was asked by the Giallorossi supporters what will happen with Saelemaekers, and his response was simple and clear: “Stay at Milan with me.”
Given the work rate and versatility that Saelemaekers possesses, it is no surprise that he might be a fit for the new coach. He could be used in a 4-2-3-1, a 4-3-3, a 3-5-2 as a full-back, wing-back or even as a winger.
Good choice. He had an amazing pre season with us last year I don’t rly know why we loaned him out in the first place.
The money we’d get for him wouldn’t bring us anyone better. And he’s versatile too in case our wingers get hurt simultaneously.
