More information continues to filter regarding AC Milan’s latest attempts to strike a deal over the signing of Charles De Ketelaere.
As reported this morning by Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan are betting strongly on the will of the player to join the Rossoneri having got his approval. The Belgian wants to join the Serie A champions over Leeds United and Leicester City.
There has even been a meeting between Paolo Maldini, Ricky Massara and the player’s agent Tom De Mul and the principle of an agreement was found over a five-year contract at €2.5m net per season, therefore €12.5m net in total or around €23-24m with the Growth Decree.
The 21-year-old has made it clear that he wants to play in the Champions League having already played in it 16 times with Brugge, and seems set on a new experience with Milan, giving the Rossoneri management some leverage.
The first offer of €20m was clearly only exploratory a new bid is expected next week, with an asking price of €30m set that can be reached with bonuses or with the addition of counterparts from the Primavera.
