AC Milan will receive a cash sum from FIFA because they had players participating in the World Cup in Qatar, a report has outlined.
Calcio e Finanza (via PianetaMilan) talk about the ‘FIFA Club Benefits Program’ which provides for a total amount of $209m dollars to be allocated amongst the clubs whose players will be at the World Cup, who will receive $10,000 for each day in which each player is involved in the World Cup.

This starts from the beginning of preparation so Monday 14 November, and Milan should get over $1.4m as a result of their players’ involvement in the tournament as per the report.
Juventus were the Italian club to send the most players at the World Cup with 11, which translate into over $2.8m. In second place is Inter who will collect almost $1.8m. It is a nice boost for the accounts of each club, who have of course had to prepare for the resumption of the season without their internationals.
