GdS: Still work to do for Milan on Leao renewal as issues remain

By Euan Burns -

It seems that AC Milan are still facing an uphill battle in order to get Rafael Leao to sign a new contract with the club, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Pianeta Milan), there was a lot of optimism recently that a deal was close to being struck but it seems that obstacles remain.

The major factor is the release clause which Milan would like to keep at €150 million whilst Leao’s entourage would like to push that figure down.

The compensation that Leao owes to Sporting appears to also still be an issue, despite reports recently suggesting that Milan would not be involved in that €20 million fee.

It also appears to be very hard to get a meeting with Leao’s agent, Tim Dimvula. With Milan’s form getting worse and worse in January, the player could lose faith in the project in the near future.

  1. Reading ac milan media for 2 years in a row now, first about Kessie , Romagnoli, Donnarumma, this story sound exactly the same.

It is obvious that, Leao will left Ac Milan. Either next summer for some fee, or like Skriniar for free.

This last sentence is in rhymes.
