Yacine Adli has said goodbye to Bordeaux via a long message on his Instagram profile as he gets ready for his new adventure at AC Milan.
Milan signed Adli last summer and left him at Bordeaux for a season on loan, but he was unable to prevent them getting relegated to the second tier after a difficult campaign during which he wore the captain’s armband. He is ready to turn the page and start a new chapter, but first said goodbye to Les Girondins on Instagram.

“Before opening a new page, I would like to thank Bourdeaux.
“Thanks to this institution for giving me the opportunity to grow as a player but above all as a man.
“We have all lived through many difficult times together and continue to experience them, but against all odds we have always felt the love and dedication of the people of Bordeaux to bring the club to their rightful place.
“Unfortunately we players have failed, we can find many causes for this, but the reality is that we have failed together.
“Regardless of what you say or think, this club has always thrilled me because I love it and will continue to love it for a lifetime.
“I’m not ashamed to say that this club, at least some of the people who are in it, have made me feel depressed, but many have given me a lot of love.
“For this I would like to thank: Ange, Manet, Nathalie, Thierry, DD, Jacques, Fabien, Titi Delmeule, Hervé, Julien, Alexis, Margaux, Axelle, Bruno, David, Eric, Alex, Jesami, Neug, Paul. I’m definitely forgetting some and I’m sorry but these are the people behind the scenes who sacrifice themselves for us and give us all their love, so thank you for that. You are the soul of this club, your club, the one you give your life to.
“I would also like to thank everyone who trusted me to perform on the pitch.
“For this, thanks to Paulo Sousa and his staff who allowed me to make my debut in Ligue 1, thanks to JL Gasset and his staff who are, they, the engine of my growth and thanks to Vladimir Petkovic and his staff for having made sure that I became an experienced player (and that I could make 8 assists – the highest total for me so far).
“It is impossible to make this message without sending my biggest thoughts to the fans.
“Our supporters who have given us everything, anytime, anywhere. Despite all the difficult times you have shown love for your club because more than ever you have shown that without you the life of the club is not the same or worse, it is impossible.
“I wanted so much to return the love you gave me, but unfortunately I couldn’t, or at least at times.
“Finally, upon returning from vacation, I learned that Jean Michel was dead. I would like to express my deepest condolences to your family. Jean Mi was a devoted person to his club, he often told me of his stormy and even dangerous travels, of his understanding with our supporters, of the atmosphere in Lescure and also of his joys during these numerous titles.
“For all these moments of sharing I thank you my Jean Mi, Peace to your soul.
“Forever, THANK YOU
“Yacine Adli”
