CM: Ramadani meeting and a desire to stay – key week arrives for Jovic’s Milan future

By Oliver Fisher -

The time is approaching where the AC Milan management must make decisions on a number of players that are out of contract, and that also applies to Luka Jovic.

Calciomercato.com report that a lot of movements are expected at Milan this summer, starting with the appointment of a new head coach which will obviously have a sizeable influence in what happens during the transfer window.

Among the players waiting to understand if he will still be at Milan next season is Jovic. Despite the little playing time he has had – especially towards the end of the season – the Serbian striker’s priority is to renew his contract expiring in July because he is happy at the club.

This week the technical director Geoffrey Moncada plans to give a more concrete response to Jovic and his entourage, because a meeting has been scheduled with Fali Ramadani who is the agent of the former Real Madrid man.

At the moment the group within the management who believe he should not be retained is greater than those who are in favour of giving him a new one-year deal.

A final factor in the decision will certainly be the new new coach, because if a manager who prefers a two-pronged attack were to arrive then that would play massively in Jovic’s favour.

The contacts are continuing, and we have entered the ‘key week’ in determining whether Jovic will continue at Milan, the report concludes.

  1. I would prefer for Luka to stay in Milan, to continue improving as a player.
He definitely deserves another 1-2 year contract based on his performance on limited minutes, and that he was always thrown into the game without much plan.
He lacked service and useful assists, and majority of his goals were his positioning and skills.

  2. Get the new coach asap ffs, we’ll be stuck in limbo on all players until that is finalized.

At this point, I don’t care if it’s Lopetegui or someone else. The management needs to have the balls to make a decision and stand by it till the end (and support the coach on all decisions)
