CM: Milan keeping tabs on Benfica and Galatasaray duo for No.9 role

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are looking to sign a new striker ahead of the 2024-25 season and quite a few players have been linked with the club lately. Two new names have now been added to the wish list, a report claims.

It’s no secret that Olivier Giroud isn’t getting any younger and isn’t able to play every game from start anymore. Therefore, having already tried this past summer, Milan want to bring in a striker ahead of next season.

According to Calciomercato.com, in addition to Jonathan David of Lille, there are two more names on the radar. First up is Petar Musa, the 25-year-old Croatian who has scored four goals in ten appearances for Benfica this season.

The second player is the 23-year-old Baris Yilmaz, who plays for Galatasaray. He’s yet to find the back of the net for his club this season but scored the winner for the Turkish national team yesterday. He mainly plays as a right-winger but can also be used in the forward role as evidenced by the goal.

It’s clear that Milan have many names on their watch list and we will have to wait a few months to find out the key targets.

  1. Im not too keen on both of these guys. Firstly , im Croatian and know how Musa plays and given what amount Benfica demands for their players in previous seasons, they will probably slap 30+mil price tag for him and that is nowhere near what we should spend on player like him(10mil max, low risk)
As for Yilmaz, watched him play and dont think we would profit from his style of play.
