Di Marzio: AC Milan striker could be included in deal for Frankfurt star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan striker Andre Silva could be included as part of a deal to sign Ante Rebic from Eintracht Frankfurt, according to one reliable journalist.

Out of nowhere on Sunday, reports emerged from both Sky Italia (via Di Marzio) and Sky Germany that Milan are closing in on a deal for Rebic.

Their respective reports claim that the basis of the deal is a loan with option to buy that could become an obligation based on appeareances, as noted by Football Italia.

Rebic will not feature in Eintracht’s Bundesliga game against Fortuna Dusseldorf on Sunday “by his own request”, the club confirmed.

Now, Sky Italia‘s Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed via his official Twitter account that work is being done to include Andre Silva in the deal for Rebic.

Silva started Saturday’s win against Brescia on Saturday, but Sunday’s edition of il Corriere della Sera – as cited by MilanNews.it – claimed that the Portuguese international is still in fact up for sale.

The latest reports from Di Marzio suggest that Milan could finally have an opportunity to offload the striker, and bring in a player more suited to Marco Giampaolo’s system.
