AC Milan lost their fifth consecutive derby against Inter last night and did so in a very humiliating manner. The Rossoneri conceded five goals and the Italian media praised the Nerazzurri this morning.
Stefano Pioli’s men conceded early in the game and after trying to find a way back before the half-time whistle, they conceded again. Rafael Leao provided some hope with his 2-1 goal but Inter were superior, eventually winning 5-1.
On their front page, Gazzetta Dello Sport wrote the following: “Inter divine. Historic victory over Milan. Fifth derby in a row and a record. The errors of Pioli: ‘Final score exaggerated, I won’t apologise to the fans’.”
Tuttosport: “Scary Inter, nightmare for Milan. Inzaghi with full points. Pioli, fifth KO in a row in the derby. Club directors in the dressing room after the game.”
Corriere Dello Sport: “Inter Power. Show by the Nerazzurri, #ACMilan completely overrun. Leao’s flash of hope was useless in the end.”
‘Final score exaggerated, I won’t apologize to the fans’. I saw the clip of Capello apologizing to Fans when we lost 5-0 to Roma, and Capello at that time had won everything. You can see the difference in mentality here, lol won’t say anything more, don’t want to trigger Pioli supremacists here.
He is too stubborn the change his tactic to counter inter. All 5 matches fall in the same trap.
I have always supported Pioli but yesterday he was the main reason we lost so heavily. This Inter’s ultra-disciplined counter-style was no surprise and yet he naively tried to over power them with the same tactics that didn’t work 3 times before.
If anything his tweaks made them find more space ,making them even more clinical then before. It’s difficult to accept getting another early goal after the semis of the CL. He never keeps it tight and intense with Inzaghi and his pre -match bravado just set him up for a fall.

Milan players and Inter players are same level . but the score explained Pioli level compare to Inzaghi level.
I can say our lost is a wakeup call. Its good we lost after 3 matches win. Hope Pioli will see theres a need for improvement. That Lautaro pass and Thuram goal though, was worldclass.
Unfortunate Tomori miss this game, kjaer cant match up with Inter speedster. We played way too high with slow CB.
Next week will be a win
