GdS: Confirmation arrives that Rangnick will join Milan – Maldini out in new revolution

Ralf Rangnick to Milan has been the talk of the town for the past few months. Now, the first confirmation of the German joining has come.

Ralf Rangnick, the Red Bull groups Head of International Relations and Scouting, as well as former Schalke, Hoffenheim, and Leipzig manager, has been hot property for the Rossoneri in the past few months. A lot of reporting has placed him as the new Milan manager in a dual-role whilst being the club’s sporting director as well.

The first confirmation of this happening has now come. It is Italian journalist, Nicoló Schira, who reports on Twitter that he’s got it confirmed that Rangnick will join Milan for next season, and the club’s current technical director and club legend, Paolo Maldini, will leave.

This will be for the 2020-21 season, and Pioli and Maldini will stay on for the remainder of the current season as the Rossoneri continue their battle towards a re-entry in the European competitions.
