Gerry Cardinale is currently on vacation in Capri, as the AC Milan fans quickly found out, and he’s there with some prominent figures. For example, Liverpool owner Tom Werner is also present.
As we published earlier this morning, the Milan owner was spotted by several Rossoneri fans yesterday and he stopped to take selfies. According to MilanNews, Cardinale is seemingly not in Capri just for pleasure but also for business.
In fact, Cardinale is accompanied by Tom Werner (one of Liverpool’s owners), Sam Kennedy (CEO of Boston Red Sox) and John Hess (CEO of Hess Corporation). It comes as no surprise as RedBird are one of the investors in Fenway Sports Group, who own Liverpool and the Red Sox.
The season opener is just over two weeks away for Milan and the final business is being made on the mercato. Eight signings have been brought in so far and the Rossoneri could certainly reach double digits before the end of the month.
