Tomori ‘happy’ to be back at San Siro for Milan-Torino: “We want to win”

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of tonight’s game between AC Milan and Torino, Fikayo Tomori spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the task at hand, as well as what it’s like to be back at San Siro.

Tomori played from start against Bologna and managed to keep a clean sheet along with his defensive teammates. A good start in the season, in other words, and he will be looking to build on that performance tonight.

Speaking to DAZN (via MilanNews), the defender shared his thoughts on the game and also spoke about what it’s like to be back at San Siro. The stadium is sold out and even the owner Gerry Cardinale will be present to watch the game.

Back at San Siro, a new experience for some of your teammates…

“I told them it’s difficult to explain, you have to be here to feel what the stadium is like. I’m happy to play here for the first time this season. We want to win and show that we are strong.”

Tomori had an average 2022/23 campaign and will certainly be looking to find that ever-so-important consistency this campaign. Of course, there are also some overall tactics currently interfering with the defence which Milan need to fine-tune.
