Tuttosport: Milan keeping a close eye on Bologna striker amid recent success

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are expected to sign a striker in the summer and whole they already have a few key targets, between now and the end of the season, more could emerge. Joshua Zirkzee is one of the latest names.

Olivier Giroud isn’t any younger and Giorgio Furlani is well aware of this. Therefore, the CEO and Geoffrey Moncada are scanning the market for young profiles, with the aim of bringing in a new striker in the summer.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the latest name that has appeared on Milan’s radar is Joshue Zirkzee. The 22-year-old has done very well for Bologna so far this season, bagging three goals and one assist.

He arrived from Bayern Munich for €9m last year and didn’t have a huge impact in his first season, but now he seems to have found his stride. He’s a player that could fit Stefano Pioli’s system, being very good at creating chances for others, and Milan are keeping an eye on his development.

As the newspaper concludes, it’s still to early to think about negotiations. The price tag stands at €20m today and could increase between now and the end of the season.

      1. Gio wrote gode post. We need striker who can reach 20 goal in one season. Maybe it will not be David, but someone with that kind of pedigree

  1. Well it all depends on how he develops, but he has some great vision, plus being a more physical player can always be possible
